Becoming a parent is a blessing for everyone, but many times due to certain complexities people remain bereft from this blessing. On top of this, the pressure and taunt from society and relative makes it more difficult for a person.

In this context, IVF and IVF Surrogacy have paved the way for such people who want to experience this divine gift. Not only the technology has made it safe, secure and simple but the society has also started accepting this aid.

IVF and IVF Surrogacy

Dr. Grethyl Explained that,“In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a process of fertilisation in which an egg is combined with sperm outside the body, in vitro (glass). IVF helps with fertilisation, embryo development, and implantation so a woman can get pregnant.” Medicines and surgical procedures are merged to help sperm fertilise an egg, and help the fertilised egg implant in a uterus.

Surrogacy is where a woman agrees to become pregnant and give birth to a child for other people who become the parent of that child. Through IVF an egg is removed from the intended mother or donor and fertilised with the sperm of the intended father or donor. The fertilised egg, or embryo, is then transferred to a woman who acts as a surrogate and carries the baby and gives the birth.

Following fertility problems are likely to be solved through IVF-

  • If a woman has blocked fallopian tubes or other problem she might get pregnant through IVF.
  • The minor problem of sperm can be cured by IVF.
  • It also helps the people who are trying to conceive for at least two years and unable to find the reason for their infertility.

Why have children through surrogacy?

  • Infertile couples, individuals and members of the LGBT community become parents with the help of surrogacy.
  • Intended parents get the chance to raise a child from birth onward.
  • Surrogacy is more likely to be successful than getting fertility treatment.
