Generally the treatment takes about 2 to 4 weeks to complete, after which the woman have to undergo a pregnancy test to see if the fertilized embryo has properly been implanted or not.

The success rates of IVF are very high in India, with some IVF centres claiming as high as 65% success among women. The younger the woman, the higher is the success rate.
